7-Night Dalmatian Coast Itinerary: The "Golden Route" from Split to Dubrovnik

Sail from the Roman ruins of Split to the medieval walls of Dubrovnik on your Croatia Yacht Charter. This one-way voyage takes you through the heart of the Adriatic, visiting chic islands, national parks, and "Mamma Mia" filming locations.

Day 1: Split & Trogir – The Roman Start

Embark in Split or the nearby UNESCO town of Trogir (closer to the airport). After a briefing, enjoy a short sunset sail to the island of Šolta.

  • The Experience: Anchor in the picturesque harbor of Maslinica. Enjoy your first dinner at the historic Martinis Marchi castle overlooking the bay.

Day 2: Brač – The Limestone Island

Cruise to the island of Brač, famous for the white stone used to build the White House.

  • Highlight: Visit Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) in Bol—Croatia’s most iconic beach that changes shape with the tide.
  • Activity: Spend the afternoon windsurfing or paddleboarding in the channel before anchoring in the quiet bay of Milna.

Day 3: Hvar & The Pakleni Islands

Head toward Hvar, the sunniest island in the Adriatic.

  • Daytime: Anchor in the turquoise lagoons of the Pakleni Islands. These wooded islets offer crystal-clear snorkeling and secluded beach bars.
  • Evening: Tender into Hvar Town. Hike up to the Spanish Fortress for sunset views before experiencing Hvar’s world-class nightlife at Carpe Diem or dining at Luviji.

Day 4: Vis – The Mamma Mia Island

Sail to Vis, an island that was a closed military base until 1989, preserving its authentic charm.

  • The Highlight: Take the tender to Biševo at noon to witness the ethereal blue glow of the Blue Cave.
  • Onshore: Explore the fishing village of Komiža and visit the hidden Stiniva Cove, framed by high limestone cliffs.

Day 5: Korčula – "Little Dubrovnik"

Continue south to Korčula, the alleged birthplace of Marco Polo.

  • The Vibe: The Old Town is a mini-fortress with streets laid out in a "fishbone" pattern to protect against the wind.
  • Gourmet Tip: This island is famous for its Pošip white wine. Visit a local vineyard or enjoy a rooftop cocktail at Massimo, accessible only by a ladder.

Day 6: Mljet National Park – The Green Island

Cruise to Mljet, Croatia’s most forested island.

  • Activity: Half the island is a National Park. Rent e-bikes to ride around the two saltwater lakes. Take a small boat to the 12th-century Benedictine Monastery located on an island within the lake.
  • Dinner: Anchor in the quiet bay of Pomena and enjoy fresh lobster at a waterfront konoba.

Day 7: The Elaphiti Islands & Dubrovnik

On your final day, navigate the Elaphiti Archipelago.

  • Hidden Gem: Stop at Šipan or Lopud for a final swim in the sandy bays of Šunj.
  • The Grand Finale: Sail beneath the towering stone walls of Dubrovnik at sunset. Dock in the ACI Marina or anchor off the Old Town for a final night of medieval exploration.

Day 8: Departure from Dubrovnik

A final breakfast on deck before disembarking for your transfer to Dubrovnik Airport (DBV).
