5-Star Experience | Impeccable Service | Uncompromised Comfort
Croatia's Dalmatian Coast is one of the world's great sailing destinations — over a thousand islands scattered across the Adriatic, medieval towns rising from the sea, hidden coves unreachable by road, and some of the most reliable summer winds in the Mediterranean. A luxury crewed catamaran is the best platform to explore it: spacious enough for a group to spread out, shallow enough to anchor close in, and stable enough to make the passages between islands genuinely enjoyable.
Aboard a fully crewed yacht, your captain handles navigation and docking, your chef prepares fresh Dalmatian seafood tailored to your preferences, and your crew takes care of everything in between. Your job is to choose where you want to go next — Hvar's beach clubs, Vis's Blue Cave, the UNESCO streets of Korčula, or a quiet bay in the Kornati archipelago where you're the only boat in sight.
Our Croatia fleet spans Sunreef 60s, Lagoon 55s, Bali 5.4s, and Fountaine Pajot performance cats — all hand-picked, fully crewed, and based across Split, Trogir, Dubrovnik, and Rogoznica for maximum flexibility. Charters run from May to October, with June and September offering the best balance of weather, availability, and price.

Enquire with James Teague → Explore All Croatia Crewed Catamarans →Croatia Yacht Charter Cost Calculator: Work Out Your True All-In Price
Planning a yacht charter in Croatia is straightforward until you look past the headline rate. The weekly charter fee is the starting point, not the finish line. Before you book, you need to account for Croatia VAT, an APA provisioning fund, and crew gratuity — and once those are added, the true all-in cost typically runs 50 to 65% higher than the base charter fee alone.
This calculator does that arithmetic for you instantly. Enter your charter fee, choose your rates, and split the total across your group. No spreadsheet required.

The base charter fee covers the yacht, all standard equipment, and the full-time services of a professional crew — typically a captain and a chef/hostess. It does not include fuel, food, port and marina fees, or VAT. These variable costs are covered by a separate Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) of around 25–30% of the charter fee, managed by the captain throughout the week with full transparency. Any unspent APA balance is refunded at the end of the trip.
Base charter fees for luxury crewed catamarans in Croatia range from approximately €15,000 to €28,000 per week for premium 50–60ft catamarans, rising to €45,000+ for Sunreef 70s and larger. Once Croatian VAT (13%), APA (25–30%), and crew gratuity (10–15%) are added, the true all-in cost typically runs 50–60% above the headline rate. July and August represent peak pricing; May, June, and September offer rates 20–35% lower.
No sailing experience is required for a fully crewed charter. Your captain handles all navigation, sailing, and docking — you simply enjoy the experience. Croatia's protected Adriatic waters also make it one of the most beginner-friendly sailing destinations in the Mediterranean, with short passages between islands and sheltered anchorages throughout the Dalmatian coast.
June and September are widely considered the sweet spots. June offers the longest days, warm water, steady Maestral breezes, and far fewer crowds than peak August. September brings harvest season, quieter anchorages, and sea temperatures of 22–24°C — ideal for swimming well into autumn. July and August are peak season with the most vibrant nightlife on Hvar and Vis, but they also bring the busiest marinas, highest prices, and mandatory advance reservations at popular anchorages.
Croatia's charter grounds break into four main regions. Central Dalmatia — the most popular — covers Hvar, Vis, Brač, and Šolta from a Split or Trogir base. Southern Dalmatia covers Korčula, Mljet, the Elaphiti Islands, and Dubrovnik, ideal for a Split-to-Dubrovnik one-way charter. Northern Dalmatia takes in the Kornati National Park, Dugi Otok, Zadar, and the Krka waterfalls — Croatia's most remote sailing ground. International routes extend into Montenegro's Bay of Kotor, with the added benefit of tax-free fuel as a non-EU member state.
Yes — entirely. Your itinerary is planned in advance with James Teague at High Tide and your captain, but remains fully flexible throughout the week. Before departure, you'll complete a preference questionnaire covering dietary requirements, favourite foods and drinks, activities, and any special occasions, allowing the chef and crew to tailor every aspect of your time on board. Croatia's short inter-island passages — most crossings run 1–3 hours — make last-minute itinerary changes genuinely easy to accommodate.
Marina fees in Croatia typically run €80–€250 per night depending on boat size and location. Town quays are generally cheaper than ACI marinas, and many restaurant-owned mooring buoys are free if you dine at the establishment. A mandatory Transit Log fee of €250–€450 covers final cleaning, bed linen, cooking gas, and crew registration with Croatian authorities. One-way charters from Split to Dubrovnik usually incur a repositioning fee of €400–€800. All of these costs are covered by the APA provisioning fund, managed by your captain.
Gratuity is discretionary but strongly customary as recognition of excellent service. The industry standard in Croatia is 10–15% of the total charter cost (base fee + VAT + APA), presented to the captain at the end of the charter for fair distribution among the crew. It can be given in cash or deducted from any remaining APA balance. Budget a minimum of 10% and adjust based on the quality of service you receive.
Most luxury crewed catamarans in our Croatia fleet include a tender with outboard, paddleboards, kayaks, snorkelling gear, and often a Seabob, inflatable slide, or wakeboard. Some yachts include jet skis. Each yacht's specific equipment is listed on its individual page. Note that operating motorised watercraft such as jet skis requires a valid licence in Croatian waters. The crew will always guide you on safe use of all equipment.
