Charting the Course Behind the Scenes
The EMMYS Yacht Show in Poros is always one of my favourite events of the year. The island hums with excitement as brokers, owners, and crew gather to showcase some of the finest charter yachts in the Eastern Mediterranean. The sun bounces off polished hulls, the scent of fresh varnish mingles with sea air, and the docks buzz with chatter about the “must-see” yachts of the season.
This year, one name kept circulating through the crowd before I even arrived at the quay: HONEYMOON. A brand-new Moon Yacht 65, delivered in 2025 and making her debut here in Poros, she was already being whispered about as “the standout.”
When I finally turned the corner and saw her for myself, I understood immediately.
Her black and gold exterior gleamed in the Greek sunlight, bold yet elegant, commanding attention among a fleet of whites and silvers. Even from the dock, HONEYMOON radiated something different — a presence that was both powerful and serene. I felt a flicker of excitement as I approached the passerelle, knowing instinctively this yacht was going to leave a lasting impression.
First Impressions Onboard

Stepping onto HONEYMOON, I was greeted by the crew with genuine warmth — the kind of welcome that instantly makes you feel not like a guest, but like family.
The aft deck unfolded before me, shaded and spacious, perfectly designed for alfresco dining and long, lazy afternoons. It felt like the beating heart of the yacht, where stories would be shared over wine and where evenings would linger under the stars.
There was an energy about her — a calmness, a balance — that struck me straight away. Despite the boldness of her colours, the overall atmosphere was soothing, almost zen. It was as though the yacht herself exhaled serenity.
Cabins & Interiors

Moving inside, I was immediately struck by the sense of space. At 65 feet, HONEYMOON has room to breathe, and her designers have leaned into that generously.
The cabins are elegant sanctuaries, each with large windows flooding the space with natural light. The décor is sophisticated yet soothing, with clean lines, plush bedding, and subtle ambient lighting. I couldn’t help but imagine guests waking here to the glow of the Ionian sunrise — coffee in hand, sea breeze drifting through the open hatches.
And then the bathrooms — wow. These weren’t just functional en-suites; they were spa-like retreats, gleaming with modern fixtures, walk-in showers, and thoughtful touches that made them feel indulgent yet understated. Every detail whispered luxury.

The main salon continues the theme of openness and balance. Expansive windows blur the line between inside and outside, creating a seamless flow of space. Neutral tones, accented by hints of black and gold, create an ambience that is as calming as it is luxurious. This isn’t a yacht that shouts for attention; it simply draws you in and allows you to relax.

Ambience & Design
The black and gold palette could have felt overpowering in the wrong hands, but here it is executed with refinement. On HONEYMOON, it speaks of quiet confidence and bold elegance. The overall design philosophy is clear: this is a yacht that wants to be both a stage for celebration and a sanctuary of peace.

The balance of space is extraordinary. The salon opens directly to the aft deck, creating one continuous living space. The foredeck lounge is a tranquil escape for morning yoga or evening stargazing. And above, the flybridge beckons with sun pads, a shaded bar, and the perfect vantage point for sunsets over the Ionian.
Everywhere I went onboard, I felt that same thread: calm, elegance, and an overwhelming sense of welcome.
Life Onboard HONEYMOON
I tried to imagine a week aboard HONEYMOON, and it wasn’t hard.
Mornings might begin with a stretch on the foredeck as the yacht glides past olive-draped hills. After breakfast, perhaps the crew launches the Seabobs or paddleboards, and guests spend hours splashing in turquoise coves. For the more adventurous, there’s wakeboarding, waterskiing, or tubing, while others might snorkel among colourful marine life or relax with a book in the shade.

Come afternoon, the flybridge becomes the gathering spot — cocktails in hand, conversation flowing, music mingling with the sound of the sea. Starlink Wi-Fi ensures you’re never completely off-grid, but here, it feels easy to switch off and immerse in the moment.
Evenings unfold on the aft deck, the horizon blushing pink as the sun sinks behind the islands. The chef sets the table with a Mediterranean feast, aromas of fresh herbs and grilled seafood filling the air. Laughter carries across the water, and you realise this is exactly what life at sea should feel like — effortless, joyful, unforgettable.

The Crew: A Personal Touch
A yacht is only as exceptional as her crew, and HONEYMOON has one of the most impressive teams I’ve met.
Captain Dimitris exudes calm confidence, the kind of presence that immediately makes you trust him. His years in the Hellenic Coast Guard and vast knowledge of the Greek seas mean every itinerary is crafted with care — whether it’s exploring secret anchorages or timing the perfect arrival into a lively harbour.

Chef Victoria radiates warmth and energy. Her passion for creating dishes that celebrate Greece’s rich culinary heritage is infectious. From delicate meze plates to inventive seafood creations, her cooking is not just food, it’s storytelling.

Together with their crew, they create an atmosphere that is attentive without being intrusive. It’s a rare balance, and it’s what transforms a charter from great to extraordinary.
Experience the Ionian onboard HONEYMOON
The Ionian Islands are tailor-made for a yacht like HONEYMOON. Her catamaran design offers stability and space, making her ideal for families or groups who want to relax without compromise. Her shallow draft allows her to slip into bays and anchorages that larger yachts cannot reach, opening up a world of secluded beaches and hidden coves.
Imagine cruising from Corfu to Kefalonia, stopping at Paxos with its olive groves and secret caves, or dropping anchor off Lefkada’s dramatic cliffs. Every day brings a new horizon, yet onboard HONEYMOON, the comfort and sense of peace remain constant.
Charter Details & Availability

For those already dreaming of their Ionian adventure, HONEYMOON is available for charter at weekly rates ranging from €30,000 in low season to €41,000 in high season, plus VAT and APA.

HONEYMOON, a dream escape?
As I stepped back onto the dock in Poros, I paused to look at HONEYMOON one last time. The black-and-gold hull shimmered in the fading afternoon light, her crew moving gracefully across the deck, preparing for the next visitors.
I felt that rare combination of awe and peace — awe at the sheer beauty and craftsmanship of the yacht, and peace from the ambience she creates the moment you step aboard.

At the 2025 EMMYS Yacht Show, surrounded by some of the world’s finest yachts, HONEYMOON was the one that took my breath away. Not because she tried to dazzle, but because she made me feel something deeper: welcome, calm, and inspired.
For anyone looking to experience the Ionian in style — to wake up in serene cabins, share laughter on the aft deck, and discover Greece with an attentive crew by your side — HONEYMOON is more than a yacht. She is a sanctuary, a celebration, a dream made real.
